App Locksmith
Done in 10 business days
Listing your app for sale?

Buyers will look under the hood. See what they'll find first.

A security problem found during due diligence lowers your price or ends the sale. I review your app before you list, fix what's fixable, and give you an independent report to hand to buyers.

Book the $2,000 pre-sale review

You see every finding privately, before a word goes in the report.

Done in 10 business days. Free 15-minute call first, and paid up front once you've said yes.

I'm Nate Parker, a senior software engineer. I've built and sold my own software, so I've been on your side of a buyer's list before.

Sound familiar?

  • You built it with AI and you're not fully sure what's in there.
  • A technical buyer will be sure, and every flaw becomes a reason to pay less.
  • You'd rather hear it from someone on your side, while you can still fix it.

What you get

  • A full look at the app
Code, database and hosting, checked for the problems a buyer's engineers look for first.
  • The scary parts fixed
Anything that would spook a buyer gets fixed before the report is written.
  • A dated, independent report
Put it in your listing or data room. It answers the security question before anyone asks.
  • One call with a serious buyer
If their technical person has questions, I answer them.

How it goes

  1. Tell me what you're selling
And roughly when you plan to list.
  2. I review, and you see it first
Findings come to you privately. Nothing goes in a report until you've seen it.
  3. I fix, then write the report
The report describes the app as it stands after the fixes, with evidence.

Why it's $2,000

A scoped web app penetration test$5,000 – $30,000
This, before you list, report yours$2,000

If the buyer commissions it instead, you don't pay in cash, you pay in the price you accept. This is the same look, on your side, while there's still time to fix things.

Figures from 2026 penetration testing pricing guide. Not my former prices: I have never charged them.

Who you're hiring

Nate Parker
Nate Parker
Senior software engineer

For five years I've built and defended the platform at a healthcare software company, where security is a large part of my job. I'm also the security engineer for a B2B software startup, and I've found real vulnerabilities in widely used open-source code. I've built, shipped and sold my own software too, so I know what it's like when the app is your income. You work with me directly.

Fair questions

Won't a report just expose my problems?
You see everything first. We fix what matters, and the report reflects the fixed app. Anything left open is described honestly with its real risk, which is far less scary than a buyer discovering it.
Is this a guarantee the app can't be hacked?
No. Nobody honest sells that. It's an independent, dated review of specific things, with evidence, from someone who isn't the seller.
When should I do this?
Before you list. Two or three weeks ahead leaves time to fix things without rushing.

Tell me what you're selling

What the app does, and when you hope to list it.

One or two sentences is plenty. We can talk properly on the call.

Optional, and only if you'd rather talk than type.

You see every finding privately, before a word goes in the report.

I reply within 24 hours, and the call is free.
